…and a tranny was the judge.

Apparently, you shouldn’t blog when you are drunk, case and point:

Tonight, I finally went on the sweetwater brewery tour, which I have been wanting to go on for like the entire 5 years I have been living here. It is so cool. You get a glass and 3 beers for $6. It used to be all you could drink, but sucky Atlanta laws stopped that… assholes. Either way, if you are around at 4:20 on a Monday or a Thursday, I highly recommend it… good beer, and good music, good times are sure to follow! Drink on! Now I am going to lay down, after drinking took place, and I am now in for the night… man, what happened to my twenties???

With that being said, looking back on last night, a lot of fun was had. The sweetwater tour was awesome. I recommend it to anyone. Good booze, good times, and a free glass!! After getting our drinks down, James decided it would be best to purchase $55 worth of t shirts that said Sweetwater in some fashion or another on them. He was calling out things like, “blue or brown?”, followed by, “I’ll take them both!” Following out stint at the brewery, we headed over to Monterey’s for some delicious Mexican food and margaritas. We proceeded to get more tore up, and after two margaritas I was ready to challenge Bree to a high kick contest; right there in the restaurant. So, Bree and I showed our best high kicks; and our fierce tranny waiter was the judge. Too bad for Bree, my high kick cannot be rivaled, and I was determined the winner. After that, it pretty much turns a blur, but needless to say, there was an attempt at blogging; thank GOD for the spell check feature on the Google toolbar, otherwise I would have really looked like a drunk. Well, even more of one. Anyway… tonight, we are off to wetbar, for the grand opening. If you are out there, give me a shout, I will be the one dancing my ass off to Jr. Vasquez. Woot!

Dance baby, dance!

hump this, hump day… UH!

There really isn’t too much to blog about today, just a few observations and whatnot’s. First of all, I was up to freaking 3 in the morning last night trying to figure out how to size a drop down jump list, for the blogroll, only to come the consensus that it is not possible to size a drop down list, other than by how long the description of the option is. I managed to finish a drop down list for the blogroll, though, and it is now under random linkage. Let me know if you like this format better/worse. Also if you happen to be the fucking pinball wizard, and dance like Elton in tall shoes, as well as have the all seeing knowledge about such html things, be sure to leave your infinite wisdom in the comments; I will make changes as soon as you leave them. Now, on to the acid queen…

Apparently, lots of people hate Madonna; at least, new Madonna. I personally am pretty ambivalent to her myself, I really only have a problem with the song ‘Erotica’. See, I had a friend in high school (see, it is okay to talk about this, we are not really friends anymore), who LOVED Madonna, and absolutely loved that song. Wanted to sing it all the time. Wanted to dance to it even more. It was what she wanted to play like 24-7. Thing is, she couldn’t sing, dance, or really do anything like Madonna, especially be erotic (at least not to me!). So, when I hear that song, I go right back to senior year with that raspy voice gyrating in my ear. No thanks!

potpourri for $3000

The results are in: You like me, you really like me!!! No seriously, here is a big thanks to everyone that sent so much love my way in the last post. I really appreciate it. It is nice to know that what you are doing is not only fulfilling to you, but gives others something enjoyable to look at. And for the record, Amber wins the “challenge”(well, there wasn’t really a challenge, per say), she is the only one that knew that the title was a Dane Cook reference… as always, you rock Amber (not that everyone else doesn’t rock as well, cause you do, but Amber gets me on the Dane Cook level, that’s all). But enough about all that, I am starting to feel all verklempt, and I want to maintain so my mascara doesn’t run. Since ya’ll are reading it, I will keep bringing it to ya, fear not.

whitewater rafting weekend

Just got back from our white water rafting excursion in Tennessee, and all in all, I have to say that even though I went in with some skepticism, I had a lot of fun. We went with a group of friends, and rafted down the Ocoee River, in Tennessee. I was actually nervous about it, before going, but after rafting, I must say that I was expecting a little bit more; only because I thought it was going to be violently pulsing rapids the entire way, and we were going to be at constant risk of being thrown out of the raft. No such deal. So, it was fun, but it wasn’t everything I thought. Oh well! With that being said, I would love to go again! The only thing is that my allergies went haywire while we were there; not enough smog, and this girl’s sinuses go nuts! Too much fresh air can be a bad thing.

Good thing we are back inside the good old perimeter; welcome home!

A place for you to say hi… TO ME!

I wanted to create a place where people could post comments for whatever reason; without needing to post something meaningful and well thought out, on a specific post. Say you stopped by the site, and like it: why not give me a shout out? Say you just wanted to say hi, and you couldn’t find anything else you wanted to comment on (likely story, but either way): again, give me a shout out. So, here it is. This will be an on going thread that will be linked, forever, from the main page. Now, give me a shout out, and thanks for stopping by!

Voter registration and voting… so it seems

I have been listening to Air America radio (check it out!) a lot these days, and it seems that there is an issue that I get more polarized on everyday. Yesterday was the whole flip flop thing (see below), and today, I am worried about something else: the election. How will voting turn out? Will we see a repeat of the last election (and by repeat I mean taking the election decision to the supreme court, which is like taking the biggest redneck in the world to the sale at Barney’s… it just doesn’t belong there)? Will Bush finagle his way into office again? Well, there are a couple of things that are really upsetting me about this whole thing.

Countdown to disaster (at least I hope not)

Here we are just about 6 weeks away from what may be the most important election this country has seen in over 100 years. What is most disturbing to me about this is that there is so much that is going on, most people are ignorant, and when I say ignorant, in many cases, I mean selectively ignorant, to what is ACTUALLY going on.
All over the airwaves, all over the TV, all over the internet, I keep seeing people label Kerry as a flip flopper, and people calling Bush a liar, and so on, and so on. Do you people that are reading all of this, be it from one side, for one side, whatever, understand what all of this means? Do you understand what any of this means? Do you understand what I mean?? Sorry, got carried away…

My very first venting…SAY NO TO THE DRAFT!

Okay, so last night, I was reading an article about the possible introduction of the selective service draft(even though the selective service website says that there is no current plan to do so, this is a concern based on the notion that there COULD be one in the future). Okay, so first I must say that is the probably one of the WORST ideas that have ever been assembled by the current “administration” (don’t get me started on FMA or the patriot act). The main reason being that there does not need to be a war in the first place. At least not for the reasons that it is being fought. The other main reason: calling those to fight that neither believe in violence as a means to and end nor believe in this war’s purpose or goal, is just simply wrong. (that would be the category I am sure that I am not alone in.) There are already thousands of troops that have died senseless deaths looking for so-called “weapons of mass destruction”, and I am sure that they are looking down on us going… “what weapons did I die for… none. I guess that makes it all worth while, that I gave up the most important thing to any human being… their lives… for nothing. Hmph.”
Well, doesn’t this put the proposal of a draft into perspective?? Shouldn’t we consider the ramifications of what happened the LAST TIME there was a draft and almost an entire generation of young men was lost, for no good reason?? I think that we should. There is a reason that they dissolved the draft, and I think that it should stay that way. Here is hoping that I make it to 27 before this darn thing takes effect. And here’s hoping that many of you do too.
