I was surprised at how much I had forgotten about the Lion Witch and the Wardrobe, but I enjoyed this one nonetheless. I can't wait to see what the next installment will bring.
A musical that was too over the top, and not in an enjoyable way. Yep. And most of the songs were not ones I would ever really want to hear again. A real highlight, however, was Nicole Kidman. Stunning.
I probably should have liked it more, but overall, I wasn't really that into the movie. Who knows how much it was close to what actually happened, but if it was, it's sad that our government could be so corrupt (which I am sure they are).
In all honesty, there is no way I could have done anything less than loved this movie. The story is sad, haunting, and beautiful. Tom Ford's direction is a thing of beauty (I love the special attention to lighting the mood of the lead character). Colin Firth is a dreamboat and Julianne Moore is decadent. All around, wonderful.
I really need to get all of the Harry Potter movies on blu ray; they are just perfect for the format. This one came up on sale most recently, so I snagged it, and I am glad I did! Still as good as I remember!
This movie has a direct line to my sense of humor; Shelley Long is just adorable, and her comedic sense of clumsiness is wonderful. I loved this movie as a child, and I still love it today!
Richard Curtis is a great writer, and this movie was very enjoyable. I especially loved all of the music. I would definitely love to see this one again, because the rating might go up.
The Gyllenhaal factor definitely upped my chances of liking this movie, but overall, the movie was extremely enjoyable. As a fan of the game, I really enjoyed the way they incorporated several elements of the game-play into the film. Great story, great effects, and great fun; what more could you ask for?
I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. It was beautiful, and even though the story was a rehash of other, previously told stories, it was entertaining enough to keep it moving for the entire 3 hours of the film. Did I mention it was beautiful?!
As much hype as it got, I was expecting something more. What I really felt, was just an intense feeling of dread and feeling sorry for the girl, as I rightly predicted she was getting herself into a bad situation. Sad.
I don't get why so many people are saying they liked this movie; it was boring, and overly violent for no reason. The only highlight for me (SPOILER COMING, STOP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW - YOU WERE WARNED) was that Nicholas Cage['s character] died in it. THAT was a fucking highlight.
As much as I usually love Amoldovar's films, this one left me just 'meh'. A friend of mine informed me that a big portion of the movie referenced one of his previous films, and that the reference was pretty relevant to following the story, so since I missed the movie in question, I guess that explains my lack of interest. Oh well.
I have to say, one thing that will seemingly always be a saving grace of cartoons and animated films from here on out, will be how incredibly beautiful they are to watch in blu-ray. That being said, that element definitely elevates the rating, because the story, while entertaining, wasn't really anything new. Good for kids, though!
What could have been a good remake of a somewhat cult "classic", this film is just all over the place, and you never get a chance to bond with the students; which incidentally, would have been its only saving grace. Oh well, I wasn't expecting much anyway.
I liked this movie a lot, but it also really bothered me. They really got the sense of what it must feel like to be married to an unpredictable man, but seriously, so much heartache, and lack of control in that lady's life. Yeesh. Overall, very pretty, romantic, and well, sad.

I thought this movie was gripping, and powerful with the performances, but overall, it was kind of dull. It was extremely disjointed, and even veered off track at times, and then, just as the story reached its climax, the credits rolled without any solid ending. I can see why it got so much praise, but to be honest, there are girls that find themselves in this situation in real life every day, and they don't get the praise that Precious got. Why not take this example, and make a better system that would deal with these issues and actually help people; rather than just tout it as a good movie that shows the horrors of some people's lives?
A quirky, cute, and fun take on a tried and true franchise; zombies! This movie is full of quotable material, and surprises that had me chuckling more than a few times. Great fun!

If I could describe this movie with one word, it would be intense. A gripping look at a soldier that is in it for the adrenaline, this movie is raw, gritty, and feels very real. I see Oscars coming to this film next month.

Good idea, weird execution. Showing the same thing over and over again (regardless if you show it from different perspectives) gets very, very repetitious and annoying. Lots of great surprises and overall goodness once they got past the pivotal point in the story.
While the story just went basically all over the place, the action was beautiful, and in high definition, I remembered why I love action movies so much; they are fun to watch. Seriously, though, what the hell was Michael Bay thinking with some of those plot elements? Yeesh!

While this movie was cute and entertaining, it was predicable (which was, well, predictable). Overall, a great kids movie, and fun to watch. I do have to say, that Zach Galifianakis had to of checked everything about himself at the door when walking on the set; there is NONE of his personality in this movie. That being said, he was still completely adorable, and I would still have his children.
Post-apocalyptic, action goodness. On blu ray, the gritty visuals, and the action sequences pop! Sam Worthington also sizzles in high definition (as does Christian Bale)!!
For whatever reason, I resisted watching this movie, even though I wanted to see it. I have no idea what I was thinking after watching it; this movie is excellent!! I loved all of it; from the offbeat characters they encounter on their trip, the main characters themselves, and of course the music. Overall, a great movie that just felt good watching, and is totally enjoyable throughout.
It was entertaining, but this is definitely a strange concept. I don't see why they felt as if the "had to do it". Weird. Ended predictably though. I did find the guy that played Ben (Mark Duplass) extremely cute and charming, though.
I love cleverly done animated movies, and this was no exception. It was full of funny moments for both adults and kids alike, and all of the characters were incredibly lovable. Such a cute movie, and one that they could easily follow up with another installment.
I heard so much hype about how amazing this film was, and I can't believe how wrong everyone of those people were. This movie was not only incredibly slow paced, but it was just downright bad. Add to the the pre-pubescent nudity, and it was all just too much. I would say it was a "good try", but I don't even want to give it that much credit.

As much as I enjoy comic book based movies, I have a major gripe with this one: what was up with the claws? There were so many special effects in this film, that it is more than surprising that the claws looked so fake. Other than that, I enjoyed the film, and definitely thought it was a fun movie.
A look at one soldier's experience in Desert Shield/Storm, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Parts are hard to watch, but overall, it is a really well done film.

While I was highly upset at some of the things that happened during this "mini-season", the writing was spot on, and the drama was intense. I almost cried like 15 times. This reminded me why I fell in love with Torchwood in the first place, and it goes to show that you never know where it is going to take you next!
This is an incredibly cute movie that I am sure I will love even more once I get the chance to see it again. There was so much (visually) going on, that didn't get to focus on the story as much as I wanted, and as such, am reserving a 1/2 star before I declare it a true masterpiece. That being said, one viewing showed me something that comes damn close!

Being a huge fan of Kevin Smith's movies, I thought I would love this one. I was wrong. Yes, it is funny when you put in references to your other funny work/jokes, but it isn't funny enough not interesting enough to maintain my undivided attention for an hour and a half. Oh well.
If you haven't seen the other F&F movies, don't bother with this one. We watched about 45 minutes, and it pretty much picked up where the last Walker/Diesel F&F movie left off, meaning I had no idea what was going on. It was slow, and boring to boot, so we just stopped it.
While I get that he was trying to "stick it to the man" and show his disapproval of society, I couldn't help coming away from this story feeling like he must have had a death wish, or at least, been somewhat suicidal. Overall, my favorite part of his story was how he touched people's lives just by being in them. It was an emotional movie.
I am fairly certain it was the story that I enjoyed, moreso than the movie or the actors. I honestly didn't know there were so many plots to overthrow Hitler, and it really shines a different light on WWII Germany as a result.
