potpourri for $3000

The results are in: You like me, you really like me!!! No seriously, here is a big thanks to everyone that sent so much love my way in the last post. I really appreciate it. It is nice to know that what you are doing is not only fulfilling to you, but gives others something enjoyable to look at. And for the record, Amber wins the “challenge”(well, there wasn’t really a challenge, per say), she is the only one that knew that the title was a Dane Cook reference… as always, you rock Amber (not that everyone else doesn’t rock as well, cause you do, but Amber gets me on the Dane Cook level, that’s all). But enough about all that, I am starting to feel all verklempt, and I want to maintain so my mascara doesn’t run. Since ya’ll are reading it, I will keep bringing it to ya, fear not.

On a different, but similar note, I have given in, and drank the cult kool aid. And it was good. I am talking about my joining Flickr. I must say, there are very few things that I have ever resisted so hard when it comes to “following the herd”, but Flickr definitely was one of those things. Last night, I was thinking about it, and I thought, why not, so I uploaded a ton of photos to it. I guess it is just another way to share my pics with even more people, so that can’t be a bad thing. Either way, check out my Flickr badge in the right column… But just so you know, all of the pictures on Flickr will also be on my photo pages. I don’t neglect my baby just because I have a pet dingo I feed on the weekends.

And finally, my “horror fest” is currently in full swing. This is when I begin renting movies that I would never ever want to see because they are so scary, and because I scream like a complete biological woman when I see anything scary or remotely fright related. But, around Halloween, I start to “get into the spirit” of it all, and want to watch scary things. And, thanks to netflix, which may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it, I have a lot more that I am renting this year, and I am really getting some scary ones. I watched the Grudge the other night, and Amityville Horror (2005) last night. Up next on the list is: 28 Days Later, Land of the Dead, Undead, Dawn of the Dead (2004), and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). I haven’t slept well this week because of the “noises” around the house, but I am sure that most of it is my imagination. The part that is not my imagination is the damn oak trees that are all around our house dropping handfuls of acorns on the back porch at 2 in the morning. It sounds like someone is coming in, and that is scary without the movies. Needless to say, I have been sleeping a little less, and worrying a little more. I don’t know what I do most: enjoy horror fest, or want it to be over. Check out my movies page for reviews on all these movies (and more)!!

Am I hearing you correctly?
