Dealing with Dennis…

Right now, hurricane Dennis is unleashing about 4 inches of rain all over Atlanta. As we all know, that made this morning’s commute HORRIBLE; considering that when a drop of rain hits the windshield of someone’s car in ATL, all they can think to do is slow down or crash. Even though I had to stand outside for 30 minutes while princess Sydney, “the dainty dog whose feet shall not get wet”, absolutely refused to use the bathroom, I managed not to get too wet. That was until I got out to walk into the building, here at work. That’s when it opened up, and half of the Indian Ocean fell, sideways, from the sky.

phrase of the day: virus-laden poo

In this article, from CNN, they discuss a study done on mountain climbers at Mt. McKinley, which sites the cause of diarrhea in some of the climbers. Apparently, people are taking loads of shits on the mountain side, and it is making other people sick. WHAT??? It is one thing to “watch where you step”, but this is crazy. Apparently, there are piles everywhere. This just begs the question: How many people are going up on this mountain, and how long are they staying??

I just have to say it again:

virus-laden poo.
Tee hee hee.

new feature utilization: thanks ipod

I have fallen victim to too many choices, which has led to this utilization of a feature I would normally never think twice about: the shuffle feature on my ipod. Sure, I may sound silly for talking about this, but I really want to comment on how wonderful it can be to have all of your 3000 some odd songs shuffled for you, and you never know what is coming next. It can be a surprise that is good (like hearing a blur song followed by Jessica Folker “To Be Able To Love”) or that is bad(like when the damn iTrip stations play as tracks… I hate that), but it is always nice to have some variety. It is like having your very own radio station, where ipod deejays for you. It saves me from having to make the choice of what to listen to, since I have so many good choices. Thanks ipod.

fun thoughts for the upcoming weekend!

a couple of fun things:

first: If you have never eaten at Eatzi?s, do yourself and go. And make sure that you get the Caesar salad (I like mine with added garbanzo beans and feta cheese? yum!), with spicy chicken. Get ready for the best meal you have had in a long time. I won?t say ever (let?s not forget sushi), cause you never can know what people have eaten, or will eat, right?

second: In case you are not watching Showdogs Mom?s and Dad?s, please start. It is just the level of drama that borders on ridiculousness, so it is wonderfully enjoyable. And did I mention that I love it? Cause I do.

A quick little update, kiddies…

I am currently revamping the photos pages on my site. I hate them, and they suck. That is why. Even though it did take me forever to get those little pictures to be equal sizes in those boxes; but I digress. Expect it to go live once I have finished transferring everything over. I am using this amazing program I found called SimpleView. Check it out… Click here to visit

Also, I bought a digital camera. It rocks. I love it. It takes the biggest pictures I have ever seen in my entire life. You would have to get two really big printers to mate in order make a baby printer that was big enough to print out a massive photo like this. And even then, I don’t think that it would be enough. The camera is a Canon Powershot A520. And yes, it is really cool. It is also inspiring. Once the new photo page goes live, I will institute something called “pic of the day”. I think that will be fun, and since I am forcing myself to be more creative with my writing, this will force me to be more creative with taking pictures, something I actually love to do. I love to take pictures, because it forces you to focus on the world in a way that you would normally not. Interesting. Man, there is a lot of forcing going on there. Exciting.

So… that is all for now. Expect great things….

No more mondays… I want to stay in bed.

No offense Monday, but I simply wish the weekend were a little longer, and there is a simple and effective way we can do that, take Monday and make it an extension of Sunday!

Seriously, this was a nice weekend, relaxing, and beautiful! I decided that this would be the weekend that I would tackle that decoupage project that I have been putting off, and I must say that it did not turn out as I had expected. I think that the end product is okay though, but just okay. I will post pictures of it on my house site, eventually.

Other than that, I went bowling twice in one weekend. Love that. I love bowling. I want to do it more. Seriously. I am going to get my own ball. And shoes. And I don’t care what you think about that.

The daily post… HAHAHAHA!

You know, I honestly think that I do not post enough on here, so I am going to start making a concentrated effort, since I seem to get bored so much, so often. This will be my effort to share that boredom with whomever is reading these very words at this very moment. Take today, for instance? I seem to have stumbled on, what appears to me to be one of the most interesting, albeit colorful and colorful, ecommerce websites selling, you guessed it, underwear. Give it a spin? warning, there is nudity. But only if you are lucky.
ginch gonch
enjoy.

Just a little hello from me…

Here’s to all those that read this… I am doing well, I am just busy with work and stuff. I am liking my new job a lot, and it requires me to do a lot more work, which is really nice. I also have been travelling a bit… I like a little bit of travel, but not too much. Anyways… Just wanted to say I am doing great, and all of that! =o)
