Dealing with Dennis…

Right now, hurricane Dennis is unleashing about 4 inches of rain all over Atlanta. As we all know, that made this morning’s commute HORRIBLE; considering that when a drop of rain hits the windshield of someone’s car in ATL, all they can think to do is slow down or crash. Even though I had to stand outside for 30 minutes while princess Sydney, “the dainty dog whose feet shall not get wet”, absolutely refused to use the bathroom, I managed not to get too wet. That was until I got out to walk into the building, here at work. That’s when it opened up, and half of the Indian Ocean fell, sideways, from the sky.

Even though I am sitting here freezing, with about four inches of wet pants, I do have to say, I am very thankful that the storm is outside, and that everything is okay. I hope that it remains that way, as I am not a big fan of storms, and I really hate when the power goes out (oh, please do not let the power go out!!!).

Other than that… the weekend was relaxing, even though the home improvement continues. James is in TN, visiting his parents (why didn’t he take the dog???), and will be home tomorrow. I hope that we will have everything finished with the floor, and can move the washer and dryer back in tomorrow evening. I certainly hope there is nothing wrong with them, but wouldn’t that be the perfect excuse to get that lovely Duet washer and dryer set? I sure think so. Pictures of the project are on the way… Till then!
