Tina! Bring me the axe!

last night, we all went out to see Mommie Dearest at screen on the green, in Peidmont Park. Not only did I have a kick-ass time, but I was really astounded to see how many folks showed up for that. I have always loved the movie, but I have been made to feel weird for liking it, in the past. But no longer! Now I can shout from the rooftops that I love that movie!

It was also comforting to see that many people showing up to kick of Atlanta Pride. James said something that was pretty insightful about the people: “If all these people would just march on Washington, maybe we could make a difference”. You know what, that is such a good point! And why not? Hell, show Mommie Dearest, and have drag performances going on if it will get folks to go! I absolutely love that idea. I really would love to organize all of those people to march on Washington and demand equal rights. Perhaps some day, that will happen!

But aside from that, it was awesome to have our group together, last night. That hasn’t happened in quite a long time, which we all know is because of our busy, busy schedules. Here’s hoping we do more together, friends! Love you all!!

Now leave me alone… I am hung over.
“What’s wrong with her? What’s wrong with Mommie?”
“She’s drunk, Tina”.
