my wednesday night TV

First of all, I must say THANK YOU to whomever wrote the Alias episode last night, it was hands down the best of the season. It was full of suspense and action, and it was great (even if I was having a Kill Bill vol. 2 flash back…). If this is the direction the rest of the season is going… shift that into high gear. The third faction? GREAT VILLAIN NAME. Okay, so enough about Alias, but it was great.

After Alias, I was poised to watch a little show on Bravo called Show dogs Mom’s and Dad’s. When I switched over after an exhilarating Alias, I was met with a hilarious show about crazy people and their crazy dogs. This show is being hailed as the “real” Best In Show (which, if you have read my fact file, you would know is one of my favorite movies), and honestly, it delivers. This show is so funny, in most part, because these people are real. You can tell they are not acting, and it is wonderful to think that those people are that crazy… without acting. HA! I have to say right now I have a few favorites:

Chalcy and her “mom”: Love these two. They do routines for money. That’s right, I said they do routines for crowds of people, and get paid. They even showed one of their routines. Honestly, the part about that I love the most, is that I would actually want to go and see one of these routines. Well, at least based on what I saw. One of the funniest moments of last night’s episode was when Chalcy decided to power jump into the back of that truck. I had to tivo that back and watch it twice.

The mother with all of the Australian Shepards, oh, and her son: She is awesome. Just don’t push the kid so hard, you can tell he really doesn’t want to do that stuff as much as you. Other than that… great way to teach a kid that winning doesn’t happen, it is earned. I respect that. Even though you are crazy, and consider your dogs more important that everything in your life (obviously). But honestly, I kinda respect that too, even though I don’t know why.

The couple with the Whippets: They remind me so much of the LL Bean/Adult Orthodontics couple from Best in Show. And I love that. And I love their Whippets. Whippets are a larger version of my dog. They are the Grande to our Tall. So there.

And finally…
The gays with the Chihuahua and the new dog named “Liberace”: That is some drama right there. Love these two. Brandon honey, grow a spine, you cried over a yelp. You are crazy. My favorite line from the show was in regards to what I just mentioned: Dog Trainer voiceover: “You would think that Brandon still had stretch marks from giving birth to this dog”. LOVE IT!

So… I am definitely hooked. Can’t wait to see what happens next week!
