I just got home from my very first trip to NYC, and all I can say is… thank goodness! LOL seriously, I was sick most of the time I was there, unfortunately, and I am actually glad to be home. There is nothing like being sick and stuck in a hotel, and honestly, I think that it makes you worse!! But… there were some good things. I did get to see times square, and I thought it was really fun seeing some of the other parts of NYC. James and I had a chance to walk around and see some great things (like the empire state building). But I must say that the most wonderful thing that happened while I was there, was finally seeing Wicked. That’s right, I saw Wicked. Finally. I have loved this show since I first heard about it (thanks Steve!), and now, I have seen it. And it was wonderful. More wonderful than I could have imagined.
I went to the theatre thinking that there was no way I would be able to see it, since it was sold out and all, and low and behold, after waiting only one hour in the cancellation line, I had my ticket to see Wicked, and a great ticket at that. I sat about 11 rows from the stage and it was wonderful. The sets were fantastic, the costumes were unbelievable, and the cast was magnificent. Simply everything was wonderful. I only had one complaint… I wasn’t a big fan of the person that was playing Fiyero. Don’t get me wrong, he was really good, really good, but… he didn’t sound like the guy that was in the original cast, and that was something I couldn’t get over… sorry dude. But other than that… I want to meet the wizard! LOL seriously, go see this, if you get the chance! It is great!!!!
