For a whole new generation, love of Britney and Lady Gaga are the barometers for homosexuality. And you love them both without question. Just imagine the kind of Madonna fan you'd be if she had come out later (or you had come out sooner). And if you ever need a lesson in the brilliance that is Madonna (and I'm not just talking the singles), you know where to go! It’s interesting. Still, to blame her solely for it would be wrong, because almost every American artist seems to rest soundly on those laurels. (For example, I don't waste my nice clothes at work. I save those for my off hours.) But I understand the trauma you had to deal with. It's hard to shake off stuff like that. Maybe you could try to start all over, like a virgin, for the very first time.
