As for Texas, my friend Deb (the aforementioned Deb are one and the same) LOVES Texas, and as such, I have heard a bunch of their stuff. Sharleen Spiteri (lead singer of Texas) is supposed to release (have released?) a solo album some time soon, so you should definitely check that out as well. This is the second Jay Brannan song I heard and both have dropped the bomb. I just don't think it is necessary. Sometimes I like to play music at my desk or share my music with others and it is impossible with an artist that does that. That is why I am annoyed by Cyndi Lauper. I like the song "same ole story" but she swears a lot in it and it kind of detracts from the song. I spend so much time wondering why she is singing that, I can't enjoy it. Maybe it is just me. Great minds must think alike because my coworker just dropped the Ladytronic CD on my desk on Thursday. Not had a chance to listen to it yet but we did get it at the library. We also have the weepies! I checked them out as well. Have you heard of the Scottish band Texas? I recently saw some of their stuff on Youtube and I like it. They have been around a while I see. I bought a copy of their greatest hits and that should be good. I also bought the Presets. So, you do influence your readers!
