Amazing series. In HD it is just incredible. The last one I watched was on Caves. Thank god for my DVR. The snow leapards hunting on the sides of cliffs, the great white sharks leaping from the water in slow motion and the view from space. That’s one series that I’ll have to get the DVD’s for.

“Regular” Planet Earth has the same sponsorship, but it has adverts, like, same as a regular programs.

Greg, it doesn’t have many commercials, because it has BOA as a sponsor, I think. But that is a good thing, right?!?!

I agree HD is the best way to watch it, is it me or does Discovery HD theater seem to have less advert breaks during it? Same we can’t TiVo-fy it yet
Sigourney Weaver is good, but for the best effect it NEEDS the original David Attenbourough voice over. We’ve ordered the DVD set of this (original BBC one, yo!), the Blu-Ray or HD-DVD versions would rock

I hate you people with HD television. I ordered the series on DVD from Amazon for about $60. I think they are still selling at that price.

This probably reeks of stoner-pretension (except that I am not a stoner ) but I like watching the cave episode to the dulcet sounds of Dark Side of the Moon. Dark Side of Spelunking.

I agree - ‘Planet Earth’ is breathtaking in HD. I often find myself unable to NOT watch it…
