Kinda like Sophie Ellis Bextor, but with less panache. Basically, I have spent most of the afternoon organizing my iTunes library, so the damn album art will show up when you are playing the song on my ipod. You would be surprised at how many you have to manually put in there. At least I figured out how to do multiple items at the same time… that was uber frustrating at first.
Today has been pretty productive, I guess, because there is nothing like a little order to make things all better. We babysat for a good friend this morning, and ever since, the relaxation and organization have been a good team.
The only way it could be any better, is if I didn’t have to go to work tomorrow… but I guess you can’t have everything, right?
Since I have been spending so much time in front of iTunes today, I picked up several new CDs to check out. Here’s the list:
Mark Ronson - Version
James Morrison - Undiscovered
Ray Lamontagne - Trouble
Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High
Linkin Park - Minutes To Midnight
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
Melee - Angels and Demons
So far, on initial listens, I am liking a lot of what I am hearing. As always, let me know what you are checking out! Share and share alike, right?
I don’t know if it’s really up your alley, but if you’ve not heard it, you need to listen to Joss Stone’s new album. I think it’s awesome.
I have it, and I wholeheartedly agree. I wasn’t going to get it, but based on Thomas’ suggestion, I got it. And I love it! Thanks for the suggestion though! It was a great one!
I torrented Everlife and Avril Lavigne (angry pre-pubecesent chick rock) but they are both pretty good - Everlife covers one of the songs that blond chick in Young Divas did on her solo album and Avril has “Girlfriend”…I did not care for the Mark Ronson album as much as I thought I would…it’s meh for me…Fall Out Boy I bought but still haven’t listened to yet…you will love James Morrison and Ray LaMontagne (altought ‘Til the Sun Shines Black is a much better album).
I am mellowing out a bit this week to the new Matt Dusk, Lucinda Williams, and Patty Griffin Cd. And still playing Mika and the Fratellis like crazy. They are my morning music. And reading which is usual for me. I have to get some of my new cds onto my ipod. I still want to get Joss Stone. Maybe this week. And Erasure has a new one coming out in May. I was reading your comments this week and found out you don’t care for Kylie! I almost was going to make you turn in your UK Gay Card! But I forgive you!
Doug - I’m working with him on the Kylie problem…

Woo hoo! So, when are you moving??!
Great example of OCD! If you have another attack, come on over to my house and add album art to my iPod and keep your new found skills up-to-date!
Thanks for babysitting! We appreciate it, and the girls had a great time with you guys and are still talking about it.
Let me know how the Arcade fire is - I have Funeral, but haven’t heard Neon bible yet. My guess is you will be all over James Morrison and Ray Lamontagne!
I spent a week doing the same thing and it was a pain in the ass. But I just had to. It felt incomplete without the album art.
I just put up a couple of posts last week of the tracks that I’m completely digging right now. I think we’ve got some similar tastes! http://www.jestertunes.com/2007/04/04/ten-songs-im-totally-digging-male-edition/
The female edition is on my music review site: http://www.n2notes.com/2007/ten-songs-im-totally-digging-female-edition/
Let me know what you think! I’m enjoying your blog.
