Seriously, you must do yourself a favor and go get Mika and the new Kaiser Chiefs‘, CD, Your’s Truly, Angry Mob!!! Both of these new CDs are only $8 at Best Buy!! Go pick them up!! You will not be sorry, both are fantastic. I love this continued British invasion! Let’s keep it up, by showing our support!!
Also, I just listened to the new Joss Stone, and it is HOT. More great Brit music. YES! Also, it comes out next week, so you will have to wait until then to get it; but it must be said that the new Hilary Duff is off the hook. There is a clear influence from Kylie on this one, and Hilary has really taken the “bubble gum” sap out of her music. It is a very good listen, and what I am always looking for… great pop!!

and the new Tracey Thorn (from EBTG) record, which is slowly growing on me (I was hoping for love at first listen). I think that she put too many sound effects in there, but I am slowly warming up to them.
I also snagged the live Portishead album, and eh. I don’t really like live stuff, but I have been in a Portishead mood lately, so I will give it a shot.
What’s everyone else spinning right now? I love finding new good music!! Also, I will gush even more about the albums that I am still completely and utterly in love with: the new CDs by Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Kaiser Chiefs, Kellie Pickler, and Dashboard Confessional. They are all FANTASTIC, and have been getting HEAVY rotation. Good music is like gold, but for my ears!

Calm Down Duane! I just came back from the store with Mika, Amy Winehouse AND the Kaiser Chiefs. Don’t let it be said that we don’t listen to you. Seriously, I wish we lived closer. We have so similar tastes in music!
Locally they said KC album won’t be available until April 3rd! You have the new one already? I’m jealous and now another reason to add to the list why I’m sick of Phoenix. I love Ruby, it’s a song you just have to turn up really really loud.

Oh and Duane (sorry if I am becoming a post whore!) Did you hear the Fratellis - Costello Music? I really like them and the single Flathead. I think they are from Scottland. Also, I love the Paolo Nutini CD - These Streets. I love the single Last Request but the album is good. He is Scottish too. I am with you on the British invasion! I will have to give that Joss Stone another listen. She is a little too Christina Aquilara for me. I was rocking out to Mika this very morning!
I LOVE the Mika and most of the other stuff (some I have but haven’t gotten to yet - thanks for always hooking me up with new stuff!). I can’t get into Dashboard Confessional though…they bore me (I know, sacrilege!). And I’m pretty sure I won’t like Hilary Duff, but I will give it a listen.
I like the Paolo Nutini as well. Didn’t know he was a Scot (I mean, the name is not particurly Scottish!)…more fuel for the current Bristish Invasion Redux!

I know I’m about two weeks late but a friend gave me the Mika CD and I spent ages wondering where I’d heard of him when I remembered it was here, in this post.
I’ve spent the last day listening to it and I’m going crazy. I can’t get the songs out of my head. Aaaargh!
