what I was going to say was…

I was going to write another post about global warming today, because I seem to be in a debate with people that continue to believe that not only does it not really exist, but that we have no impact on what we do in the world. I posted one of the longest comments I have ever written on that post, and I am spent, so if you want to, check it out. I will write about it again soon, though, because I am just surprised that there are people that don’t think that anything we do has an impact on the environment. That just blows my mind. Seriously, we can’t all be ostriches with our heads in the sand forever, can we? I really hope not; especially since there is compelling science that shows global warming and climate change are happening more rapidly now than ever. But whatever, if you don’t believe it, I guess that is where you stand. I just hope you are ready for the consequences, or, I guess I hope you prepare your children for them, because it’s going to happen whether you believe it or not. I also know that I have been writing really long posts lately, and I apologize for that… for some reason, I have a lot to say lately. Now that I have that out of the way, I am going to post what I really wanted to talk about today in a different post (as to make it a little smaller).

    1. You didn’t link to the comment you wrote.

    2. There are two distinct arguments that I think you’re combining into one. If there are people out there that doubt global warming. They’re dipshits. The temp has increased by nearly a degree in 100 years. That’s fact. You’re right. Please don’t confuse those people however with people such as myself that just don’t believe that one degree is the sole result of human activity. There are other compelling arguments that prove just that such as the studies that show the Sun is hotter. Also, some of the studies used by the man made global warming advocates do not take into account certain periods in history where it was hotter than it is now.

    3. Since you brought it up, you hear how your boy Al Gore is now found to be consuming in one month more than twice the power of the average American? http://www.wbir.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=42745&provider=gnews

Why should we listen to him when he’s not even listening to himself?

Duane, are you ridiculing me because I’m gay? LOL…I don’t think your quotes above reflect me at all. If that was your intent I think you are misunderstanding me.

I apologize if my post was in any way lumping people that don’t believe in Global warming with those that don’t see how we have a direct cause in that global warming; that was not my intention, as I know that there are varying degrees of everything. I just find it frustrating that people can’t see the correlation between the increased warming and our actions; there are too many things for me to ever believe it is just coincidence.

And Bugboy, I would NEVER ridicule you for any reason, ESPECIALLY not because you are gay! ;)

“I just find it frustrating that people can’t see the correlation between the increased warming and our actions…”

So why don’t you see the correlation in the other evidence such as the warmer Sun, cyclical weather patterns, misrepresented reporting on the pro-man made global warming side?

See, I keep hearing global warming is a fact/global warming is bunk. But you wanna know what? I *really* don’t give to flips about it. By the time the warming causes the globe to burst into flames, I’ll be dead. I have other stuff that concerns me. I do not care.
