I was thinking the same thing this year. WTF is the point of Thanksgiving anyway?! I mean, getting together with family members you hardly know or even like?! Oh yeah, sounds like a lot of shits and giggles.

Seriously though, I skipped the family Thanksgiving this year and got tons of shit too. You should skip Christmas too, you’ll regret it if you don’t.

Duane, it’s your family, they’re supposed to drive you crazy, that’s why someone way smarter than us created liquor in the first place.

I say when you’re packing for your X-Mas trip just don’t forget your good friend Jack Daniels, he always helps me get through the holidays.

No matter what, we can’t really ever get away from our families. We are tied to them throughout life. And all they do is make us crazy. Especially around the holidays. But be thankful you have great friends and a cool life in Atlanta! And a WII!

Hey Duane - I’m glad you got the wii - wish I had one. As for the parents and X-mas - skip the long drive and cost and you and James do something fun together. I didn’t go last year and now it’s even easier to say “no”. Your mom and dad will do the same thing with or without you being home. Why worry about it any longer - let it go and send them a X-mas card filled with love and the words saying - “sorry I can’t make it home this year but maybe next year. Love your son, Duane”
