This is perhaps the cruelest twist of fate; new tivo that I MUST have, but at $800, which I WILL NOT spend. Why, tivo, why do you do this to me? You told me you would email me when the new tivo came out, but why? So you could laugh in my face when you knew I wouldn’t be able to afford it? Why did you do this to me? All of this at a time when I have literally had almost all I can take of the shitty mcshitty comcast DVR!! WHY?!?!?! I shall sit on my knees in the rain with my hands stretched to the sky, in hopes that there will be an answer.
Does anyone want to give me $800? I would put it to very good use, I promise. All I can hope for, is that the price of this sucker drops like a rock. I NEED THIS.

I just want to let everyone know that my gf bought one of those “tevo like” digital recorders by Toshiba and she paid around $300 for it.
It’s been over a month and she still hasn’t been able to get the thing to work. Numerous phone calls to tech support and they are stupid people. Bottom line - it won’t download the stations from the tv guide from her Comcast cable box. It’s too late now for her to return it, Toshiba won’t do anything about it so she’s stuck with it and a waste of $300. Do not buy this thing! It’s a piece of crap! So, if you spend the extra money for the Tevo and at least they set it up for you -it’s worth it! At least it works!
Trinity - we have a Panasonic dvd recorder and it works great. We also have the TiFaux (hee) by Comcast and have no issues with it.
Apparently, we’re in the minority.
