I resisted, effortlessly, for years. I admit, I never gave a shit about Survivor (still don’t). I never watched one episode of the Amazing Race. I have never found myself addicted to reality TV (with the exception of American Idol… which isn’t something I feel the need to watch, as much as, I will catch it when I can, and I want to know who wins type of thing). But the winds of change have come a blowing, and I have to say, I have started to crack. It all started when shows like Project Runway, and America’s Next Top Model crept their way into my season pass line up. These went from, “Oh, maybe we should watch”, to, “Oh no she didn’t! I wonder what is going to happen next week!”. And now, I find that since we have the ability to tape two shows at once (and, let’s face it, the severe lack of any “quality” programming on this summer), I find myself getting into more and more reality TV. As of right now, these are the shows that I am currently loving (in no particular order):
1) Treasure Hunters (This is like the greatness of the Mole mixed with the fast paced race of the Amazing Race. The intellectual reality game show is back!)
2) Last Comic Standing (Some of these people SUCK. Some of them are really funny.)
3) America’s Got Talent (this show is so bad, that it is almost good. I do hate David Hasselhoff, though.)
4) Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List (Obviously my personal favorite)
5) So You Think You Can Dance (God save me.)
6) Almost any medical documentary-style show on Discover Health Channel. (I have recently been watching a lot of Mystery Diagnosis and Medical Incredible. I wonder what that means…)
7) Janice Dickinson’s Modelling Agency (So deliciously tasty, it must be bad for me.) 
Miami Ink (I can’t tell you how much I love this show… I even watch the re-runs. Did it nudge me towards getting the quarter sleeve? Maybe…)
And of course, there are some non-reality shows that are fantastic, notably, the 4400. That show is awesome. A new season of Project Runway is right around the corner as well, and I may have to check out that Workout show that is going to be on Bravo. Lots of TV to watch; maybe it is the new TV that has gotten me to sit up and take notice… hmmm… What shows are you guys currently crushing on? Anything I need to check out? Like I need anything else to take up my time…

I am not invested in too many of these so-called reality programs either. I was at the start, but they have worn on me, and worn me out.
But Kathy & Project Runway will always have a ready place in my heart.
I don’t know what it is but Project Runway grabbed me too. I also love the 4400 but I think my favorite show right now is Rescue Me. Even though Dennis Leary is a jackass I think it’s a great show, pushes a lot of buttons and there are HOT firemen. And I don’t know if you get the Sundance channel or not but there is this offbeat Australian comedy called Kath & Kim. It’s about a mother and daughter sort of along the lines of AbFab but much more common and bitchy.
I really enjoy So You Think You Can Dance but only for the dancing. The other night was the first time I’d ever voted on a reality show.
First of all, “Kath & Kim” is not a reality show.
I’m not sure if my contributions count as “Reality” either, but they do feature real people:
I can’t stop watching “HONEY, WE’RE KILLING THE KIDS!” on TLC. How could I not watch, with that title?!? It’s so overdramatic and the hostess/doctoress is such a Cassandra… I love how the “projections” of the kids at forty show them bald, fat, glasses-wearing and crooked-toothed, then in the revised projections (assuming the kids follow a healthy eating plan) suddenly the kids have full heads of hair, are slim, have perfect 20/20 vision (or contacts?), and have shiny white straight teeth.
Also, even though the gay host is annoying (I’m SO self-loathing!) I can’t really stop watching “Ten Years Younger”, which I think is also on TLC.
I guess these interests point to the fact that I’m terrified of how I’m going to look at forty, and I would give my right arm to look ten years younger.
I LOVE “So you think you can Dance!”(So much better than our Sister’s Dance comps, right?) Anything Kathy Griffin (What an asshole that guy who won her auction to live with her for a weekend and acted bored) “The 4400″(better not erase the little girl) I can’t wait till Heros and Banshee when they come on. I am so loving “Rescue me,” and “Hex” too. Of course anything Anime. Now you know what My DVR records for me.

i’m so into jaymz from SYTYCD. he’s fine in that “i-kinda-look-dumb” sorta way.
Miami Ink is about the only one in your line-up that we agree on, though I’ve been an ANTM fan since the first season, and will make no apologies for it. My fave is when they do the weekend-long marathons of it on VH1, so I can catch up with all of drama and catfights! I even got Lyss watching it after she got me watching Project Runway.
And since I’m a total foodie, I do love Bravo’s Top Chef, The Next Food Network Star and Food Network Challenge. When they do the massive cake decorating & sugar sculptures? I’m so hooked.
And you can add one more when Big Brother starts
Two words for ya, Hell’s Kitchen, it’s delicious.
I need to catch this Project Runway show. I’ve heard everyone talk about it. As for Kathie…. LOVE her!
