Watching the Sunday morning shows (This Week and Face the Nation) is an exercise in frustration. It almost brings me to tears. I just don’t understand how these jackasses (Frist) can go on national TV, lie like the devil and NOBODY questions them. GRRRRRRR!

I never said he shouldn’t own up to anything. I still think many of the ‘lies’ that are being reported are a bunch of political fluff, but whatever … if there is meat there, someone should address it.

I’m still WAY more concerned about actually getting legislation passed that will help our country rather than spend all day digging into any person just to point out faults.

Of course, legislation is not how you get votes while raking your opponents over coals is… both sides of the house are equally guilty on this one (although I feel the lefties are little more guilty )

Dave, I get that he lied to a grand jury… about a blow job. Bush has lied about WAY MORE IMPORTANT things and more serious matters; yet nothing. I just think that time has come for him to at least own up to at least one thing. Enough is enough with this douche bag.

duane, I agree completely. Unless there were sexual harassment (which I completely disagree with, but it’s the law … for now) charges being filed such as with that hideously ugly bitch from Arkansas, there were no grounds for an investigation. That was wrong, but so was it for him to lie to the grand jury.

oh dave, you know that I know it wasn’t that simple! I said it for SHOCK VALUE!!!!

BUT, I don’t think that, even if you tape your best friend’s conversations about her blow jobbing the president, and then try to make him fess up to it, and when he doesn’t cop to a spring-loaded cum shot on a gap dress, that it is ever room for investigation and a launch of impeachment proceedings. It was a goddamned blow job!!! Man, this country is sick; we can’t even enjoy a blow job anymore! I tell you, what is the world coming to!?

It’s not like he is trying to impeach him for something silly, like, oh, say, a blow job, right?

No one was impeached for having a blowjob… lying to a grand jury about a blowjob is a different story. Should that person have been asked to begin with? No. But it was the lie, not the blowjob that got him into trouble.

I hadn’t read about the tapping of the other groups you’ve mentioned, but unless those groups were talking to known terrorists, I would have to side with you on the breach of law. Although, I really don’t care about the whole privacy deal to begin with. I’m not saying it’s ok, I just don’t care.

yeah, according to former ed secretary rod paige, teachers unions are terrorist organizations…and according to presidential lackey karen hughes, feminists are terrorists. last time i checked, neither of those groups were plotting to blow up any international icons of globalization, major population centers or federal buildings. if they were only listening to terrorists, then it wouldn’t have been a problem to follow the rules. the judges only rejected, like, two requests in 30 years.

that’s strange, slubbage, because they are also wire tapping and keeping surveillance on organized groups for peace, school gay and lesbian groups, and other organized groups that are like that too. But, they are terrorists too, right? The point is, is that this is a violation of rights, and is well, illegal. It doesn’t matter how they justify it, it is still illegal!

I am all for monitoring of terrorists, but we should all be aware that we can’t just let the government do whatever they want in the name of “the war on terrorism”!! That is dangerously close to martial law, and that cannot be allowed. It goes against everything our country is supposed to represent!

Do you want to end up like the guy that was held for a year and then deported to Egypt? He wasn’t even a terrorist! I just think that someone needs to be monitoring this whole system, and the president and his administration DO need to answer for illegal activity. It sets a bad precedent to just let him do whatever he wants with no consequences.
