a menagerie I tell ya!

First off, I just want to say thanks to everyone that had kind words to share yesterday. I have said before, and will say again; the best thing about blogging and the internets, is that you get to share things with people, and learn that you are not alone in how you feel or what you experience. I love that we get to do this. Now, let’s get together for a rousing game of who’s in my mouth. Just kidding… thanks people; may we all get started on making those changes and end our feelings of drowning, I know I am going to no matter what! Now if I could just find that magic box of “unlimited answers and resources as to how…” that I misplaced…

Second, it is 70 degrees here today. Now, I know that it is the first day of March, and technically, getting closer to spring, but seriously. In Atlanta this year, we completely skipped over winter. I am not joking, I really only remember like 2 days where it was below 40 degrees. It snowed once; and that was just a freak occurrence. Is the trend going to become no winter in the south? I refuse to believe that this has “nothing to do with global warming”, as many scientists have said. I am calling BS. I am also calling for someone to come and fend off the massive mosquitoes that are going to stalk and hunt us all this summer, er, I mean in a few days. This summer is going to be a squelcher; I will just have to get the blender ready (ahem… James, baby, let’s get that fixed fast!); we are going to need some daiquiris.

Finally, I have kind of been all scatterbrained today, because yesterday a good friend of mine mysteriously “disappeared”. His roommate and friends called me all day wondering if I knew where he was, and at first, I wasn’t worried, but as the day wore on, and he wasn’t being found, I did begin to freak out. Last night, that pretty much hit a pinnacle, and as a result, I woke up all drained and worried. BUT! THANK GOD… he responded to my email from last night with a simple “I’m alive, and I am fine. contact you soon…”. I must say that it has set my heart at rest to at least know my friend is okay, but I just hope he sorts out whatever mysterious reasons that took him away, soon… Just a weird situation with no answers… those always throw you; but then again, I have never had this situation, this is one of those Unsolved Mysteries types of things. Weird. So that is where I am at today.

And just because… Tony set out a funny email to the trivia group this morning, and this was my favorite clip art from the bunch:

I have no idea why I like it so much, but I literally laughed out loud when I saw that a Pope John Paul II clip art image even existed. AND! On Ash Wednesday… sweet! Thanks for the laugh Tony!

LOL!!!! You have just made my day w/ that, Duane. I almost spit the water I was drinking all over my keyboard.

When the thermometer hits 70, it’s time for a rousing game of wet biscuit. Err, I meant sunblock.

We didn’t have much of a winter here either! We had one big snow in early December I believe and that was it. Indiana had it’s warmest January EVER this year. Which is nice - but I’m like you I think it all has to do with global warming and I’m not looking forward to just how hot it could get this summer.

Dave, that is an excellent idea; screw what I was thinking! I want the POPE!

I know. I feel cheated. If I wanted winters like this I’d move to Florida. If this is the trend I’m not looking forward to summer this year.

How about this for the other arm? When you get to the Pearly Gates you’ll be sure to get in. You even get a choice:

You know Erik asked me where I’d rather live last night…Oklahoma or Massachusetts. I actually said Oklahoma (I lived there for a month before I met him) and I said it was mainly because of the weather. I hate Mass weather THAT much I’d move to an area where it’s immersed with country music and Jesus. I so wish I could move, I really do but then again I’d miss all my friends. I swear though if we win the lottery I’m moving to Europe…

Honey, I have a KitchenAid blender just waiting to make some daquiris. Oh, and some pomegranate margarita mix on hand. And I know how to make a killer papaya mojito! Bring it!
