I don’t really have anything special to post about today, but I have been doing some thinking, and I think that I want to try and start doing a little “song of the day”-type feature on the blog. At the bottom of every entry (at least when I remember), I am going to put a little song of the day, or the moment or something. I may post more than one song title, cause I am very indecisive… no I am not; wait, yep, I am.
It will probably be a good way to decipher what my mood is that day, and will be another way for me to express one of my very favorite things: music. I love me some music! If anyone ever has any suggestions for me, feel free to let me know! I have a cd review page and a music hits page where I post the stuff that I am listening to, so check them out as well. And, I am going to go on the record here and say that you will never see a Gwen Stefani or Black Eyed Peas song on here, basically because I not only hate them cause the suck, I hate them on principle now. That’s right. I hate them on fucking principle. Eat that.
Listen2this: Madonna - Hung Up
(you can actually head over to PopMuse’s site and check it out…)
Late Entry: Smashing Pumpkins - Hummer (take me away, from here…)
Give a listen to…
Of Montreal
The Shins
Elf Power
The Postal Service
Thanks Amber!!! I love all things Postal Service/Ben Gibbard. I honestly do. Also, the shins, I have to seriously be in the mood for them, but I like them too! I will definitely spin the others and see what the deal is! Thanks!
I am so glad that you are doing this! I always think that it’s fun to see what other people are reading/listening to.
does josh duhamel’s apparent adoration of his butt fugly fiancee fergie diminish your affection for him? lately, every time i see him on vegas all i can do is shake my head in sad resignation.
Isn’t it ironic then that the link to the Madonna song says that the song sounds like a Gwen Stefani song? Doesn’t it just reek of how artists are really the product of their producers (in this case Jacques Lu Cont)? And here’s the blasphemous statement (please don’t hate me…), but am I the only one that thinks that Madonna is trying to join the Minogue family with this song (it’s style, genre, and artwork image)? Smashing Pumpkins I like, though…
fatasianbaby: I can’t wrap my brain around what Josh Duhamel sees in Fergie; but I guess, to each their own. I still wish he was saving himself for me.
Byron: I don’t hate you at all; in fact, I think that is a pretty fair assertion. Madonna has wanted all this time to be more British, why not go Brit dance pop? It works for the Minogues; well, at least on their side of the pond, so why not leave it to Madonna to take it global? While I do love ‘Hung Up’, I am almost certain that it is the kind of song that is like candy corn; while it is really good, and you can’t seem to get enough, you are glad when they stop selling it, because it eventually starts to make you sick. That is why I don’t have any Madonna records (which I think that I am going to get the GHV2, so that will be enough in my book), and I can almost bet this whole record won’t be something I go crazy for. But who knows, maybe she will surprise me! And as for Smashing Pumpkins, they used to be my favorite, and Siamese Dream is one the best CD’s ever made in my opinion.
