Sadness. Gloom. Despair. And it hasn’t even been 24 full hours. BOO HOO!!! I miss you already, Kathy Griffin!!! In case you are like, what is this nut job talking about, then you must have missed the season finale of Kathy Griffin: my life on the D-list last night. Kathy brought me something that many only taunt me with, and for that, I want to issue this thank you to her: Thank you Kathy, for making me smile, for making me laugh, and most of all, for making me enjoy my time with you.
It was a short six hours, but, I believe, through the power of DVD and Tivo, we can be together longer… and I can enjoy your jokes, your stories, your gays, your great husband Matt, watching eat your Shipley’s donuts, your herioc battles with Star Jones, your dinner getaways to Chevy’s, and most of all, your calling out to all of the sweaty-puffy-coke-whores out there; any damn time I please (and this time, without commercials!!!).
So I sadly bid you and your great show adieu, but hope upon hope that you return to our living rooms soon, in the form of another hilarious vehicle, in which you make fun of more celebrities, and make the world fun again. Until then, I know I will weep. (Okay, maybe weep is a strong word, in fact, I doubt I will really be sad, cause I did mention that I get to watch your DVD Allegedly, and I get to watch the reruns of the show… And, I am not like some depressive maniac that cannot find happiness in other things, come to think of it, I am pretty damned happy like 99% of the time; so actually, now that I think about it, I will actually continue having fun, and will be fine…) But… I want you to return soon. Make me laugh, Kathy. Make me laugh like you did last time. Love you. *Wink*
i thought she had died or something… damn. i don’t really like her that much, but that made me sad for a second.
your blog has changed quite a bit since the last time i was here.
i like it.
I have the feeling this show is going to be one of those things I missed entirely while it was running, then I discover, late, in DVD form, long after the parade has passed by (much like Strangers With Candy).
OK, actually, this entire comment is only a thinly-veiled ploy to work in a virus-like plug for Strangers With Candy, which I want everyone to watch.
Cheers.
Thanks for the blog-props, Lefty!! Also, I changed the title of this entry, cause I don’t want anyone else to go through the sadness you went through. I definitely don’t want that to be the take home message here…
And PJS… I never really got into strangers with candy… but I heart Amy Sedaris, she rocks!
Wow. Clearly I’m the only guy out here who can’t stand Kathy Griffin. Oh well, to each his own.
I love that you love Kathy. She’s the BEST.
