worried about mosquitoes? well there is malaria here and leishmaniasis from sandflies. if you haven’t seen cutaneous lesh…. look it up… it’s lovely.

And as far as avoiding mosquitoes, I don’t think that it is possible. I think that they are just drawn to certain people. Like I said before: I am just so glad that we don’t have malaria in the states, I would have it by now. I am beginning to fear West Nile (not really).

Here’s hoping everyone can enjoy the rest of this HOT ASS summer without mosquitoes. I know I will have my fan on HI sitting the porch.

Also, a question: Is it true that if you drink a lot, they don’t bite you? I have noticed that when I am drinking, they tend to not bite, but maybe they are still biting and I cannot tell, because I am drinking. Who knows?

I can’t tell which is worse: the mosquitos in Greenville or Atlanta. Like you, they just attack me to no end. Others get nothing; I get bumps galore! I just stay inside a lot both places . . .

In Houston I used to have to RUN to my car in the morning to avoid the swarms. Now in Phoenix all I have to worry about are the scorpions (and I’m not talking about the “rock you like a hurricane” kind).

Must be a Moody thing - the damn mosquitoes only bite me on the face, cheek or hands. I HATE them to no end and would wreck the Jeep if needed to keep one from using me as a pin cushion….just kidding - I would stop and then kill the bitch!!

Guess you will have to drink a beer or two in the mornings before you leave for work to end this problem. Can’t that nice birthday gift from James fight those guys off?? I’m sure they are only trying to smell that stuff because it leaves them in a drunken state. Why don’t you just hang a tree from the rearview mirror and that will solve the mosquitoe issue also - ok, that was a joke too.

Move back to NC - Northeastern NC and I will kill them for you, serve you and James a drink and just chill - we only have a problem with groundhogs here.
