As of Monday, August 29, I will be taking a “new” job, back with my old branch. I haven?t said anything, because I am one of those, “wait till the chickens are hatched” types of people, so I wanted to be sure before I broadcast the message.
I am very excited to be going back to work with my old team, and I am sure that there will be less of what I experienced in my current branch (no need to get into that here? I always said I would never blog about work, and I mean it!). Needless to say, a new job is on the way, and that should prove an exciting move. Only thing is, right now I am in transition, which can be, well, kind of awkward. Regardless? the move is official Monday, so not much longer on that.
Also, Grandma and Julius are coming this weekend. That should prove to be a fun and welcome birthday treat. But, I dare say it will be less than relaxing. Grandma needs all my attention? but come to think of it, perhaps that is where I got it! HA! I will be taking Friday off to celebrate my birthday (by not coming to work), and really, I cannot wait to get it started!
Just think, one year older, and moving into a new job? things are good, aren’t they? Well, I don’t know how everyone feels about that one year older thing, but I am pretty secure with it. It feels pretty good to inch towards being “thirty, flirty, and thriving”.
Happy birthday and congrats on positive changes!
Thanks Amber… hopefully I will get really great gifts from my birthday. I have already gotten some new rainbow sandals and the “be delicious” colonge by DKNY, from James. Here’s hoping for more great surprises!
Happy couple of days before your birthday. i think you’re one year and a couple of months younger than me. 27 rocks. Well 27 is actually just like 26, but you’re closer to 30.
Happy Birthday Eve!
(Wait, maybe I should clarify that I’m not referring to you as “Eve”, as in “Eve Harrington”, or “Adam and Eve”, but rather am referring to the fact that this is the EVE of your birthday, being the 25th of August and all. But maybe you knew that, and no such clarification was necesarry, and this sidenote looks neurotic and silly. At least I’ve just hit on the title of my upcoming autobiography — ‘Neurotic and Silly’. But I digress…)
Nah, PJS, that wasn’t neurotic at all… in fact, that is usually what I am thinking when I re-read my posts before I hit “post”, and then that is what I think right before I talk myself out of posting again to clarify whatever it was that I was trying to say.
It is a crazy thing, this written word, it is really difficult to express what you TRULY mean sometimes!!!
But thanks for the birthday shouts! I guess I could be EVE for my birthday, but I don’t think that I am nearly “hard” enough to be her… she is a ruff rider chick, after all.
Congratulations on the job!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Duane!!! A Year Older and A Year Wiser. Old age is just a marker in life - I turn 35 in a month myself and can’t wait!! Sounds like a party to me (trip to Atlanta).
Enjoy your Birthday and I hope your visit with Grandma is filled with lots of good things. Tell her Hello for me - I’ll try to call tonight or tomorrow. Take care.
