Last night, James and I went to a party for a friend of ours birthday (happy birthday Rebecca). I had a great time (which I usually do at parties, I cannot help myself…), but I could not help taking away this one thing: I really do miss our group of friends doing things together. After James and I got together, and everyone started to get busier with work, and couple off themselves, it has just seemed that we all gradually stopped doing things together. And I miss that! It was great seeing people last night, and there were a ton of people that I haven’t seen in a while. But enough about that.
In addition to all of the fun things that were discussed at the party, I broke down and told everyone about how ghetto we have become. James and I couldn’t stand the heat any more, so we decided that it was time to finally get a window AC unit. That’s right, we now have a window AC unit in the master bathroom, in order to offset the heat that has been keeping us up at night. Now, I did say NO NO NO to the unit, but now that it is there, I must say that I am very happy, because even this morning, I awoke to a chill in the air, that honestly made me tingle with joy. I HATE being hot for even one second, and if having a ghetto ass window unit is what it takes to keep that from happening, then so be it. I love you ghetto ass window AC unit, even if it makes us look like we live in a trailer!! Now, back to the coolness of my room. =o)

It's amazing that this is based on a true story. It was interesting how it was kept so hush hush for so long. Neat movie.

Sort of scary at points, but overall, just alright. Jessica Alba looks like a young Jolie in several points, however.

Is there any way for you guys to eventually install a central AC unit in your house? The previous owners of our home installed one in the crawlspace. Our nextdoor neighbor’s house, however, is on a slab–she just has a window unit.
Actually, I guess I didn’t mention it, but this AC unit is in ADDITION to the central heat and air unit (HVAC) that we currently have. The dickhead that sold us this house (see dickhead) skimped on everything, including the duct work for the HVAC, causing it not to work well enough to cool our tiny little house (now, that should tell you how crappy this ahole is… the house is only like 1200 sq ft, and the NEW unit cannot cool it enough… damn.). SO, we had to get the other unit to supplement. And going ghetto has never felt cooler.
Hey, come sit on the ghetto bench with me. We have a window unit in the bonus room, but we have to. The rest of the house is cooled and warmed just fine by the central air, but not the bonus room (where we happen to spend most of our time).
