I must say, that I am very happy that Ben and Jen got married. As many of you know, Jennifer Garner is my absolute favorite actress, and I am glad that she is happy. I am not totally bitter that she divorced that hottie Scott Foley, but that is the past. She has a baby on the way with Ben… which I must state that I am just very glad that this child won’t be a bastard… whew!! Seriously… congratulations Jen and Ben, many happy years!!

piranha 3D 4/5
2010-09-02 19:50
I'll be honest, I wanted to see this for the gimmicky 3D that would certainly be in a movie like this, and it was ALL there. The movie was a cheesefest of epic proportions, and it never tried to be anything it wasn't. There was gore, laughs, nudity, raunchiness; ALL of it was there, and all of it made for an enjoyable film. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, but I wanted to see it again as soon as it was over. Not to spoil the plot, but I would see it all again for the 3D disembodied penis. That's right. You know you want to see it now.

the losers 3/5

If this movie suffered from anything, it was its own ego; it felt like this movie thought it was bad ass when really, it was just sort of "not so nice" ass. As an action flick, it works, but beyond the action sequences, any substance falls flat. Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Chris Evans are both great eye candy, so there's that, but overall, it comes down to this just being a somewhat enjoyable film that really only needs to be seen once.

I don't know why so many people were disappointed by this movie; I thought it was very enjoyable. The action was nice, the special effects were epic at points, and the story moved along quite nicely. It was also nice to look at Sam Worthington for almost 2 hours. Overall, I wish I would trusted my instincts and not listened to so many people; I knew I would probably like this one, and I did.

percy jackson & the olympians: the... 3.5/5

I'm a sucker for mythology, and this was a cute movie, with lots of fun. It could have been better, but then again, it could also have been much, much worse. Highly predictable, but still enjoyable.

So, children born out of ‘wedlock’ are bastards? Or is that tongue firmly in-cheek? It’s hard to tell in print!
Deb, you, of all, know that I am a serious joker. That was major tongue in a major cheek. I was totally kidding… it was just funny to me when I wrote it. I would never seriously imply that Jennifer’s (or anyone’s for that matter) kid could be a bastard, because I simply don’t believe in that. (also keep in mind, I love JG, and would never say disparaging things about her…) I think that all kids (even those that “some” people would consider “bastards”) are awesome, and deserve nothing but the best from their parent(s). This is something serious, considering how many kids there are that are suffering with the family that they have, or don’t have one at all. I would never want anyone to think that I was serious about that. Sorry for the implied misunderstanding Deb, and thanks for pointing that out, and allowing me the opportunity to stop the foot, before it went in my mouth!!!!
